We are looking for a junior level QA Engineer who will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our microservices-based applications. While the primary focus is on QA and test automation, the ideal candidate should also have development skills to contribute to the codebase when needed.
What You’ll Do
As a Junior Developer cum QA Engineer, you’ll work closely with our development team to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of our microservices-based payment platform.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Quality Assurance & Test Automation (Primary Focus - 70%)
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Write end-to-end (E2E) test cases and automate testing using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
Implement API testing strategies using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or k6.
Ensure observability and performance monitoring using Grafana and Datadog.
Work closely with developers to integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA or similar tools.
Development & Code Contribution (Secondary Focus - 30%)
Develop and maintain test automation scripts using Golang or Python.
Contribute to the development of microservices using Golang.
Debug and resolve issues found in microservices during testing cycles.
Enhance and optimize CI/CD pipelines with automated test execution.
Implement best practices for code quality, observability, and logging.

What You Bring To The Team
We’re looking for a highly motivated Junior QA Engineer with development skills, eager to work on cutting-edge cloud-native applications. Here’s what we’re looking for:
Required Skills & Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in QA automation and test script development.
Strong foundation in manual and automated testing for web applications and APIs.
Hands-on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or RestAssured).
Familiarity with API testing using Postman or k6.
Basic knowledge of Golang or Python for writing test scripts.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
Familiarity with observability & logging (Grafana, Datadog).
Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Good knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with gRPC testing.
Familiarity with Google Cloud services (GCP).
Exposure to performance testing using JMeter, Gatling, or K6.
Knowledge of message queues (GCP Pub/Sub, Kafka).
